KNOW THE BRAND
We’re Jaipur Basta — a small, homegrown brand making bags with a bit of Jaipur in each one. It all started in 2020 when our founder, Nikita, wanted to bring the beauty of hand block prints out of bedsheets and dupattas, and into bags people can carry every day . We work with local artisans who’ve been practicing this craft for generations, keeping it real, slow , and handmade. We’re not a big team. Just a bunch of people who care about prints, good design, and making sure every piece feels special — because it’ s made by real hands, not machines.
Our bags are simple, practical, and full of stories — stories of Jaipur, of print- makers, and of the little joys of handmade things.
What We Make
Totes,Slings, Potlis, Laptop sleeves. Some bright, some earthy,Some for everyday some just to feel good. All of them made with love, patience, and prints that feel like Jaipur.
Why We Do it

- Because handmade things last longer — in memory and in life
Our Mission
- To keep the art of Jaipur’s block prints alive — not just in museums or markets, but in the things we carry every day.
- We want to make bags that feel personal, practical, and proudly handmade. while supporting the artisans who’ve been keeping this craft going for generations.
- We’re here to let these prints dance between old Jaipur lanes and your everyday chaos.
Our Values
Handmade over mass-made. Every bag passes through real hands, not just machines. Prints that speak of home, We use prints that remind us of Jaipur its colours, its streets, its stories.
Fairness to people who make. Our artisans deserve more than a thank you they deserve respect, fair pay, and opportunities.
Slow is better we don’t do fast fashion. We take time to make things that last. Small is good we’re a small team and we like it that way — because it keeps us close to the craft.
A Note From Nikita
I started Jaipur Basta with a very simple idea — to make bags that carry a little bit of my hometown, Jaipur, in them.
I've grown up around block prints, and I've always felt that these prints deserve to be part of everyday life, not just for special occasions. So I thought — why not bags?
We've been lucky to work with amazing artisans, printers, andcraftspeople who help bring these ideas to life. And every time someone carries a Jaipur Basta bag, it feels like a small piece of Jaipur is travelling the world.
Thanks for being here and for supporting handmade. It really means everything to us.
